Founded in 2001 by Mellanee Walls, CPA, The Walls Group was born with a clear mission: to help small businesses achieve financial clarity and success. Mellanee’s passion for accounting, combined with her dedication to family, faith, and community, shaped the firm into a trusted partner for entrepreneurs across Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama.
With decades of experience and active membership in the American Institute of CPAs, the Tennessee Society of CPAs, and the Chattanooga & Catoosa Chambers of Commerce, Mellanee has built a firm that values integrity, precision, and personal attention.

Mellanee Walls, CPA, is the founding partner and guiding force behind The Walls Group, formerly Hutchinson & Walls. A Certified Public Accountant since 1994, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Tennessee Temple University in 1992. Since founding the firm in 2001, Mellanee has combined her professional expertise with a deep commitment to family, faith, and community.
She holds CPA licenses in Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama, and is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Tennessee Society of CPAs, and the Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute. Mellanee is passionate about supporting small businesses and helping business owners achieve their financial goals.

Beth Siggers brings extensive accounting and finance experience to her role as Tax Administration & Processes Supervisor at The Walls Group. A graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Beth ensures that client projects are set up efficiently while going above and beyond to assist clients.
Beth lives in Ringgold with her husband, Mike. Outside of work, she enjoys Zumba, running, and hopes to one day add “Marathon Finisher” to her list of accomplishments. Her attention to detail and client-focused approach make her an invaluable member of the team.

Sheila joined The Walls Group in 2022, bringing a diverse background in retail, law enforcement, and banking. She thrives on connecting with clients and supporting the team. Sheila and her husband pastor a church in North Georgia and enjoy music, golf, and baking.

Sonya has been with The Walls Group since 2007. A certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program Elite member, she combines accounting expertise with leadership skills honed from 10 years managing restaurants and her U.S. Marine Corps experience. She enjoys local sports, volunteering, and church activities.

Bernadette, known as Bernie, has been with the firm since 2007. A QuickBooks ProAdvisor, she began her career in Mechanical Drafting and excels at guiding small businesses through smooth processes and accurate reporting. She enjoys making, fixing, and building strong client relationships.
